At St Mawes Dental, we can offer out-of-hours dental care for both existing and new patients.

When you experience a dental emergency, we understand that you want to be seen by a dentist or may require advice as quickly as possible.

​At St Mawes Dental, while we offer our patients appointments in the evenings and at weekends for increased flexibility, we know that sometimes the unexpected can happen, and you may require treatment straight away. We will always do our best to see you in an emergency situation.

​Dental emergencies can include (but are not limited to):

• ​Loss of a tooth due to an accident or trauma.
• Chip in a tooth due to an accident or trauma.
• Infection or abscess.
• Unexplained pain and/or discomfort.
• Loss of a dental restoration such as a bridge, filling or crown.

​​If you have been affected by a dental emergency, we will do our best to see you during surgery hours to treat your problem. Please contact us as early as possible on the day of the emergency so we can fit you in or direct you to the most appropriate service.

​For any dental emergencies outside of hours that cannot wait for the next working day, please call our practice at 01326 270 392. The answering service will give you further details on how to contact the on-call dentist should you feel you need to, or you can leave a message so we can get back to you the next working day.

​You can also call the Dental Helpline on 0333 405 0290. This service operates between 17:30 and 19:30 Monday to Friday and between 08:30 and 16:30 on weekends and bank holidays.
